What is a good reaction time?
On a simple visual reaction test, around 200–300 milliseconds is a useful rough desktop reference, but results vary with hardware, attention and the test setup.
Tip: Compare scores using the same device and input method. Touchscreens can introduce different delays from a mouse.
How does the test work?
Press START and wait for the red screen to turn green. Tap the green area as quickly as possible. You'll complete five successful rounds.
Too-early clicks don't count. Your final score is the average of five valid measurements.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my reaction time change from round to round?
Sleep, distractions, anticipation and differences in browser or device latency can affect your results. A five-round average helps smooth out individual variations.
Is this a medical or intelligence test?
No. This is a recreational, browser-based visual reaction test. It is not a clinical assessment and cannot diagnose any condition or determine intelligence.
Can I compare my score with a friend's?
Yes! After finishing, generate a challenge link. Your friend can try the same five-round test. For a fairer comparison, use similar devices and input methods.
Do I have to create an account?
No. You can play and share your score without creating an account. The challenge link includes the rounded result and device type, but no name or personal identifier.
